have you made sure the hand brake cable is not seizing up getting cable wet and salt made them stiffen up pretty quick but wheel bearing does sound like a good place to start

check the disks i have replaced both now with same fault described

lift whole front end up support it chock rear wheels and start up and put in 1st and let out clutch check disks now for how true they are running

on drivers side of radiator about half way down you will see a sender with t plug pull off plug and bridge out this should make thermo run all the time while ignition on. does your subby have lift kit,are you still runing fan with viscous hub is it manual or automatic? check engine oil level low oil...

don't really know because when i connected the green plugs it made no diffrence to where it showed up with gun

as far as where it is positoned it is off the scale but it running really well with heaps of power if i manage to find which plugs to join i will post where it is sitting

i found the green connector but mine has double brown instead of green

seems to be running good now though i just adjusted it by ear and it has all its giddy up back which is good because it was drinking lots of fuel

ea82 mpfi ignition timing

just wondering if any body knows how to set ignition timing i know it has to be set 20deg but according to manual i need a test mode connector to do this ??? thanku for any replys

ea82 mpfi 3 long 1 short

i have just finished changing motor over in my 85 touring wagon for the 1989 mpfi motor and today found the computer blinking out the code 3 long 1 short if any body has any ideas and the idle is a bit sloppy thanku for any replys keppler:confused:

checking low pressure switch:(located front of left hand strut on a/c pressure line) pull plug off and bridge out with pice of wire then try engauging a/c again

have you checked the relays up the top side of the r/h strut

there is a unit mounted on top of the condensor (near the fan) i think 2 yellow wires i am pretty sure this is your thermostat witch tells a/c to turn of

mostly just check power going to relays i had same problem when i first got mine

did you get sombody in the car to wiggle steering while looking to see how much play was in the rack i had simler problem couple months ago and ended up being the rack.

also changed the power steering pump when pulled apart pump housing instead of being all nice and smooth was all rippled

yeah so this is really only good for straight line driving maybe just buying a 4wd is a better option ;)

if all this seems to be ok the radiator out of the old 1600 suby's does fit with slit modification they have twice the capacity of fluid my dad has 86 touring wagon and it used to over heat all the time then we changed the radiator and now can to like 2 ton of gravel and not even get half gauge

the little voltage regulator you are talking about is does it only regulate power to tacho? will it only be in sub's with a tacho?

because i have a spare suby for parts but it is dl wagon "no tacho"

i do a lot of welding and use a mig 135amp (gassless) cheap ass thing i weld up to 6mm with it and have never had a weld let go this is on a lot of earthmoving machinery so it is getting fairly worked it is all in the brand of mig wire that you get you will probably have to get a few diffrent brands...
