I got it sorted i hope.... thats if the oil cap is right, they have the date of the motor under the oil cap. Anyway i have ordered the head gasket kit and timing kit so will find out in the next day or so. I cant wait to drop her in my wagon.

I recently bought a ej20T motor on ebay, and i am now rebuilding it and putting it into my touring wagon. The guy i bought it of said it was a 98 motor but he was not to sure, so any way i have take the heads of and taken them in to the shop to get shaved and checked, now i need to order new gaskets...

I'm just wondering when i install my dizzy on a ea82t motor do i set the flywheel to 20 btdc on number one piston and then put the dizzy in or set it to 0 tdc put the dizzy in and then set it to 20 btdc using a timing light and turning the dizzy? Cheers steptoe, But i dont get what you mean by "get feeler gauge on 25 thou and set 25 thou feeler between the two bits before they line up, so it is 25thou before they line up"? i understand the rest of the procedure.

Very low power the more i put my foot down it jerks and stumbles and hesitates? but some times it drives fine.
