yep swapped over the timing gears. The intake was easy to get. I swapped over the injector plug bodies to suit the ej25 injectors. I can take pictures if you need.

Ah I got ya, personally I wouldn't bother. The 25 heads flow better and don't run hydraulic lash adjusters and you don't have to open up the engine.

Hi there mate. My race car is running the same motor. The intake manifold don't match up. The manifold is too narrow and the ports are smaller. I've gone with an 04 manifold that doesn't have the electric throttle and modified to fit IVC and throttle body. I've modified the 22 harness too work with ...

I was running it in the old brumby. The grease repel water and prevents the water mixing in with the grease. Touch wood so good so far. I get mine from John Deere. Another I been trying is extreme pressure grease in the RS.

So you completely bore the standard bore out and press in liners. Much stronger,

Well come to the conclusion that this would be a waste of time. Been doing the measurements and the thickness of the bores will be too thin, especially if running forced induction. The piston domes are to high and would need to be milled to allow for the valves. So the plan is to resleeve the block ...

I been running high speed bearings. They have slightly more clearance to allow for more heat. I also remove the seals and pack with water proof grease.

Yeah should be interesting. One advantage of using these Pistons is the larger piston skirt. Down side would be the thickness of the piston bore remaining. Looks like I'll have to use the 2.2 crank as there may not be enough room at the bottom of the stroke.

So did a bit of a test fit. The 2.5 litre crank will not work without a 2mm shorter rod or a 2.2 crank. The rod bush can easily modified to fit the Chev piston pins. My next problem is the valve groves in the deck of the piston.

350 Chev pistons in ej25

Hi there,
Been a while since I've been on here. I've got an interesting question for you all. I've just purchase an ej25 SOHC that is an half finished project. The previous owner has bored it out to suit 350 Chev pistons so he could get a 2.7 displacement. Has anyone ever heard of this mod before?
