Yeah I still have the car, it's my daily driver. I've updated a few things since then. Now running a EJ22 with a EA82 AWD dual range box. Unfortunately I don't get a lot of time for 4wding. I was thinking of taking my nephew fishing at Whitehills when the salmon starts running. Might even see a few ...

I agree with Keffa, redrill your hubs. You always have the option of going back to the original stud pattern. The cops will pick redrilled rims alot quicker than redrilled hubs. I drove to Broome and back getting up to 155km/h passing trucks and didn't have any problem with wobbles. I'm running 1997...

The buzzing alternator is because you've wired it wrongly. I had the same problem when I installed my EJ22, it resulted in the buzzing alternator and a dead battery. On my car the white wire goes through the fusible link to charge the battery. The black/white wire (your black) goes to the instrument...

Targa WA
Not sure if anyone is interested in the Targa but there is a subaru in third place overall after the second day. Dean Herridge came on strong at the end of the day to overtake a group of evo's. You can follow the stage results at http://www.targawest.com.au and on the results tab. In the Competition...

This is one hot car. I want one.
Take a look at his pics, http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll95 ... e/My%20RX/
there is a video of a road test that gets up to 7500rpm and topped out at about 105mph or 170kmh.
Cheers Rob.

Yeah that was mine. It's 3" lift with 215/80/15's. The problem with tyres that big is clearance. i chewed out 2 rear tyres when fully loaded. I'm looking to get new springs and 2wd rear shocks. I've only tested it on gravel in the hills. Looking to go down to whitehills and test it on the sand and d...

Hi guys, The taxi I drive is an AU series 3 with dedicated LPG. It just clicked over 860 000 kms yesterday without the head coming off. It all comes down to regular servicing and getting problems repaired as soon as they appear. Not flogging the hell out of the car also helps:p. With any luck it wil...

Hi mate, I'm running a 3" lift with 215x80x15 which comes to ~28.5". I had to cut the front guards and beat the seam on the firewall flat to stop the rubbing. On the back it just catches on the rear of the wheel arch when hitting a big dip in the road. Any bigger than about 29" you'd have to make ma...

Here's what I basically did for the 6 stud conversion. Remove the hub from the car and knock out 2 opposing studs. Attatch the hub to the wheel and use a drill with a 9/16" drill bit to mark the hub in the appropriate spots. Remove the hub from the wheel and use a drill press to drill out the locati...

Hey El Freddo, Basically what I was thinking was a low tech system of running lpg on a turbo engine. I had assumed that the ignition system on a EA82T was controlled by an ecu, therefore the idea of using the cam blocks off a carb engine for the use of the elec dizzy. I'm new to subaru's so it has b...

So far the only scrubbing on uptravel has been on the rear wheels when hitting a fair sized dip in the road (rear mudflaps). I sprayed the firewall with putty to find where it's rubbing, no luck yet. The idea behind the EA82T is fitting the cam housings from a carb motor to a turbo motor to allow us...
