My condolences also. It's just so tragic to lose one so young, who never really got to reach their full potential and experience what life has to offer.

I'll also reccomend the CF-40. Had mine 2 years. Used it from vic winters to Outback & Queensland summers. Holds heaps of Venison! I'll never use an esky again when I have 12 or 240 volts.

Get 2 Std bash plates and follow the instructions in the tech section of the QLD club site (on here). I have done mine this way and it works a treat. The Std one will fit with a 2" lift if you just elongate the holes with a file and bend it slightly along the back edge - you can bend it ih a vice. T...

Actually the border track is a good run, as well as Wyperfeld, Murray - Sunset and scorpion springs parks. For a good camp site try Rocket Lake.

Regarding tyre scrubbing: I have had this problem, its usually caused by the alignment people. They just align the front end with toe in, as if it's a falcodore or something. Factory specs are 2 - 3 mm toe out. If set with toe in, front wheel drive in normal street use = equals tyres scrubbed on the...

If you still have the '83 front struts, strip them wash them out, and refill them with 20 weight motorcycle fork oil or auto trans fluid. Auto trans fluid is roughly equivalent to 10 weight fork oil. In my mind a far superior solution than adding extra shocks. See my previous post on this for more d...

Perhaps you shouldn't drive it like a sports car (which it most certainly isn't) or trade it in on one?
Heavier sway bars will reduce off road ability by limiting articulation and therefore grip in some situations.

Genuine Part #'s for Hitachi Dissy (1983 - 1984) - Points and electronic use the same.

Cap # 49100-7001
Rotor # 49101-7011

Also, if changing from points to electronic, don't forget to change the coil to a straight 12v one.
