Get 2 Std bash plates and follow the instructions in the tech section of the QLD club site (on here). I have done mine this way and it works a treat. Regarding tyre scrubbing: I have had this problem, its usually caused by the alignment people. They just align the front end with toe in, as if it's a falcodore or something. If you still have the '83 front struts, strip them wash them out, and refill them with 20 weight motorcycle fork oil or auto trans fluid. Auto trans fluid is roughly equivalent to 10 weight fork oil.
