I would be very interested. They won't sell one to me. They only have it on disc not as a hard copy but won't sell it so yes I'm very interested.

189 km today towing 360 kg dog trailer - high front and therefore a fair bit of wind resistance.

Trip computer says 12.4 L/100Km. I know its not 100% accurate but never-the-less I'm happy.

About 60 km was suburban roads and the remainder highway and freeway.

Man... Switchable locking diffs would be great. Though it ads complexity - and despite being a rabid geek, when it comes to cars I think they should be as simple (and therefore reliable) as possible. Also having a switch for that sort of thing is cheating! Like on that damn mitsubishi outlander. :p...

Yes. Before I bought my Outback 3.0 I hired a 2.5 and did a day trip of 300km. All freeway and country driving. Tullarmarine to Bendigo and return. 7.2 L/100km I have never expected to get this low from the H6 but given I'm getting 11.2 around Melbourne I would expect low 9's or high 8's on a trip. ...

Yes. That's what I would expect or even high 8.

I've only done a bit over 1000km since I bought my MY07 3.0R but around the Melbourne suburbs and one trip of about 250 km I have averaged 11.16 L/100km. That includes some freeway driving at 100km/hr. I have only used 95 RON Caltex Vortex but will in time try the United E10 which in 95 too. I don't...

Thank you.

Have compared yours to the 2007 Forester manual I managed to download.

This section seems identical.

I still have to work out how to change it and whether I'm willing to start pulling my new car apart.

Thank you. It is a great help.

I had one from her too.

But I've also had one on another forum too.

Looks like she is doing the rounds of the web.

Yes, that is what I was hoping to do but to do it well and neatly I need to know where the wiring goes.

Yes, but the ignition would have to be left on as its too difficult to reach around from the passenger seat especially for someone with a back injury. I feel this is too much battery drain.

Looking at the MY07 Forrester wiring diagrams the power seems to be derived from the Ignition Relay. However there is also a wire going back to MB11 SBF6. I think this is one of the fuses in the fuse box in the engine bay. No sign of the BCM. Not sure that I want to start pulling trim off this car t...

I have checked both fuse boxes and there are no fuses marked as for power windows. They must be tied in with something else.

I am downloading the Forrester 07 Service Manual and will look at it. Hopefully they are similar.

Outback Power Windows

I have had my MY07 outback for 10 days and the power windows are bugging me. I want to be able to operate them without the ignition on. Like if I leave my wife in the car and I have turned it off she can't open a window. A wiring diagram would assist me greatly but its not on pdftown.com yet and Sub...

Thank you to both of you.

looks as though I'll have to find someone overseas who will buy for me and post it on.

I know that in Europe under European law they must be available and at the same price as the dealers etc buy them for.
