here's some pics of the import engine with the hole from the head and pipe that goes to inlet and suction pipe that is on the opposite side of the motor.

i'll have some pics soon, it's definately a jap import going by the stamp fitted to the motor. It's a buggar that the air suction pipe is on the wrong side of the motor although i'm sure i can get by without it, definately differences with emission stuff on air cleaner and slightly different carb. No run on since the solenoid has been installed. Mine is a 32/36 DGEV. The primary idle jet is physically bigger than the secondary idle jet. I also had trouble with engine run on when i tried my webber, have you tried the solenoid yet and does it work well? this link might help with jet size and tuning? Just scroll down to end of page. Good luck!

thanks for the info, just to get it going for this week i just connected all of the small water hoses, seems to be no pressure building up and leaking at any join at the moment. G'day, just wondering if anyone might have some advice on the weber EA82coversion? i have fitted the weber and blocked off some vac hoses but having problems with coolant leaking. fuel pump ok for weber carb?

Just wondering if anyone knows if the standard fuel pump for the EA82 carby will be ok with a weber carby?

just got back from burson auto... inlet $7.60 and spigot bearing $3.50 but they have no exhaust gaskets, told them the price of genuine parts (exhaust gaskets) and they reakon maybe they should selling them, at half the price of genuine they would make heaps!

i went to supercheap for a hose already had a bend in it, i just cut it to the length needed. It's been 6 weeks and bloody cold in the morning!!!
