here's some pics of the import engine with the hole from the head and pipe that goes to inlet and suction pipe that is on the opposite side of the motor.

i'll have some pics soon, it's definately a jap import going by the stamp fitted to the motor. It's a buggar that the air suction pipe is on the wrong side of the motor although i'm sure i can get by without it, definately differences with emission stuff on air cleaner and slightly different carb. I also had trouble with engine run on when i tried my webber, have you tried the solenoid yet and does it work well? this link might help with jet size and tuning? Just scroll down to end of page. Good luck!

thanks for the info, just to get it going for this week i just connected all of the small water hoses, seems to be no pressure building up and leaking at any join at the moment.
