thank you for all for your replies and advice :). I'm not looking for huge gain in power, just a bit more to help when i tow and when i take on the hills and i don't want to modify the car too much.... just gives me something to think about and help in the direction i might go in....thank you ;)

Yep you can do that... There is RX liberty that are factory fitted EJ25. Is that engine your looking at is at Dandenong South? Cheers AP Thanks for the reply, mine is a GX touring wagon. 2.2 to 2.5 conversion

Would anyone know if possible or if it's legal (in vic) to replace the liberty 2.2lt with a 2.5lt ?? I have a liberty wagon, build date 11/96.

i had a probelm like that once, after 1 week of driving it went away. Someone said it might have been my rear brakes coz the was sitting for a while. Have you had the wheels off and the brake hubs? might be worth a look, good luck with it!

if it was me i'd get someone to check out the heads and if the motor has done a lot of kms give the heads an overhaul and replace head gaskets......hopefully it's only a gasket and not a cracked head! ......good luck! ;)

Trying to sell my car in the "for sale" area but how do i go about that, have done it before (few months ago) and seemed to be easy to do. Do i start a new thread and then copy the template? i tried to start a new thread but there is no "start a new thread" on the page when i open the for sale page....

i had the insides of the cat removed in another car of mine (ford BA, stuffed coz of backfire,dual fuel problem)... it didn't sound good at all, had to replace the cat when i sold it coz of the roadworthy. I have a loud rattle under my L series and i'm thinking it's the resonator if it's not the cat.

i've got an old one, it's a bit rough and bit of mould on it, must have been a bit damp at some time. All the pages are there and can still read it well enough, don't know if it will be worth sending to you? but its yours if you want it. You could buy one for around $25 or $30 at places like repco?
