Maybe not cable?

OK, took a little slack out of cable. Seems to have made no difference. Slightly more pronounced noises now, definitely harsh on downshifting and gearstick seems to move a bit more than usual when backing off at med to high RPM. Can mounts be an issue or selector bushes? Still seems like a synchro i...

Downshifts are the problem to third, but upshifts to 5th. Like I say not all the time. Will do the smart thing and nip up the cable a tad first and see how it goes. I have ALL the parts for in there if the clutch lets go except the clutch and pressure plate :) Have ordered cable just in case. Cheers.

Clutch / cable or something else?

92 Lib wagon AWD. Gears are clashing intermittently on changing into gear, mostly 3rd and 5th - like synchros? Clutch doesn't appear to be slipping. Heard a couple of nasty noises when driving in 1st gear, stopped when clutch in, didn't happen again.. Clutch probably has 180,000km on it. Clutch cabl...

RS Liberty / Legacy VINs

Just after a favour from RS owners of the 91 vintage (or close to it I guess). I have a few parts from this model on my Liberty and have been trying to chase some new genuine replacement parts, but apparently they can't help me effectively without a VIN from that model. One part I was after had 10 p...

Just jokes. Incredibly my local wrecker had a series 1 Lib (only lib there) and I pulled the unit from it for $20. It has an extra button and vaccuum servo unit on the back of it for what I assume is turning heat onto face (rather than mainly to floor vents) but I can't see to connect the vac lines ...

Liberty A/C issues

Looks like I have finally got on top of the A/C issues I was having a couple of months back. The original thread has gone but it goes a little something like this: A/C is working only intermittently, feels like compressor is switching on even when there is no cool air coming out. Runs really well wh...

If a few others come (to pull me out when I get bogged) I could be keen, but would have to be the 20th, 21st or 25th for me now I have a real job again.

Oh, and hope to get my A/C fixed before then or it will be a real stinker.
