Awesome. Thanks mate.
Imagine a life time to get all this done in a timely matter... My car is still limping around 2 years on as I haven't gotten around to properly fixing it.

Re: Brumby EG33 Crossbred kit etc
I saw this Brumby mid build, looked like a nice clean Brumby then and I'm sure it ended up as a clean install as well. Did the radiators end up in the tray?

Just an update. I replaced the thermostat with a 182f which is 83c, similar to the Brumby one. I got a new thermo switch. Now it's working exactly as it should, with the exception that maybe the fans aren't cooling quite as quickly as the large factory one do. I'll find out in the hotter weather if ...

The Brumby heater tap either directs coolant through the heater core or back to the thermostat housing. It doesn't turn the flow off. Using the heater tap turned "off" is pretty much the same as an EJ heater plumbing with the exception that small amount of coolant isn't cooled through the core. I st...

Theres 5 L's at Lonsdale, one pictured above is 3.9 auto, rest are 3.7. There is only 2 at Elizabeth, really don't want to drive 50 minutes there and 50 back if neither are 3.9. One is an 85 so it's got a pretty good chance of being 3.9. I thought the Tourings were 3.9, so it's only the early tourin...

Once I get it setup right it will work fine bennie, just like the EA81 thermo circuits work fine. I'm just puzzled as to why it's not working with the EJ when it's pretty much the exact same setup as the EA using the same rad and thermoswtich plus circuit wiring (ignore my extra relay as that is not...

Looking at the thermo switches online it looks like the thermo switch in my radiator isn't the standard Subaru one. It appears to be made for a Mitsubishi (TFS139, it has flat blade connector not the round one) and therefor it would be 85 on 80 off instead of 90 on 85 off like the Subaru one. This c...

Relay has been checked. Thermostat has been kettle checked with IR thermometer. Also it's installed correct way up. Radiator is in good clean working order. Plenty of flow through it and no cold spots. It's also only a couple of years old. Radiator is well grounded. Fans run all the time, temp stays...

Plastic speedo drive gear in gearbox 3.7 vs 3.9
This is something I should know but cannot remember, is the 3.9 diff ratio gearbox speedo gear smaller than the one in the 3.7 ratio gearboxes?

Not sure if this would have an effect but here is my findings on the thermostats and thermo switch. EJ thermostat Dayco 77c OEM 78c EA81 thermostat Tridon 82c Wahler 82c EA81 thermo switch Tridon On 90c, off 85c I'm a bit puzzled how the EJ manages having the thermostat on the input side of the engi...
