I noticed in another thread you had trouble getting the outback struts on and then had to replace the CV joints, I wasn't expecting that.. i thought it was basically a case of undoing the previous ones, bolting the new ones in and voila everything working ok. is it going to but extra wear on the CV ...

For 2nd hand? or new? 2nd hand, is that price reasonable? i could only find the parts individually from suppliers (strut / spring / shocks) which seemed to be a lot more for the whole lot. i'm trying to do it on the cheap so was just going to grab a set of 4 from the wreckers & keep each one intact...

thanks AP, looks very much like what i'm planning to do, so you did it without replacing any of the trailing arms or trailing arm brackets? do you get any rubbing with 205/70/15 wheels/tyres? i need to get new wheels, at the moment am tempted to get 16" wheels but tyres that would make about the sam...

yep its got 14" wheels at the moment, 185/70R14. its a 6/1994 liberty, so thats the 6/94-98 model, i should have a pic here somewhere it doesn't have air suspension, i'm pretty sure thats just the Gen1 models (pre 6/94). so maybe there's a bit of room for bigger tyres as is but probably not much. so...

some details on lifting a Gen 2

hey, i've been checking out some of the mods people have done & getting a few ideas, & trying to work out a few more details for lifting a Gen 2.
