EA82 Weber Blowing smoke when 4wd

I have the weber carby on the ea82 and when i go 4wding it randomly blows heaps of smoke out the exhaust, continues for about 10 secs then stops. But it does not do this all the time. i originally thought it had something to do with the angles i had the car on, but then it did it when i was driving ...

I usually just drive to the 4wd destination then jump out and put the axle in place but i was wondering how far could you drive with it in on the road. do many of u do this, what are your though...

did you just install the rears for any particular reason, or u gunna do the front ones soon? $85 seems to be a good price and you reckon get the 2wd shocks for more height, are they stiffer then the 4wd ones? can u notice the difference in the rear with your car?

Upgrade Shocks

My shockies on the L series have never been changed so i was just seeing what is available and what is standard price for parts and fitting. I have king springs installed already. Does upgrading shocks make any difference to clearance or the lift of the car? Everyone seems to get KYB shockies, how m...

In relation to the spark plugs what heat range do you recomend if i wish to go colder in grade. I have put the timing at 6 BTDC and still it diesels. At the moment i have Bosch Super 4 plugs, maybe they are getting too hot???

I have a very good Hitachi carby and the manifold. That was on my car before i put the weber on it. Lots of time spent tuning it.

Pre Ignition Webered EA82

My engine diesels nearly everytime i turn it off after a moderate drive. I have retarded the timing to 8degress past TDC still no change. apart from using premium fuel which helps the problem has anyone got an idea of what i can do to stop this from happening?

Thanks Paul

Timing on Webered EA82

I've just done an engine swap, and put the weber carby onto the new engine but i cant remember how i set the timing on the old engine to stop the Pre ignition (dieseling). Any help would be great, i'm pretty sure its only a few degrees past or before TDC????

Cheers paul

Does the metal need to be heated before welding because it is high tensile?

EJ22 Stalling (1995 Liberty auto)

When I come to a stop the engine starts to run very rough and erratic on say 3 cylinders, then 2 cylinders then stalls. It will restart but I need to keep the revs up high to keep it going, once moving again it will be fine for the rest of the day no matter how many times I come to a stop. Biggest p...
