MY carby
Hey all,
Getting a brumby back on the road, and the carby is very secondhand, anybody got a replacement they'd want to sell?
What about the Weber option? How Jared is that to do?
TIA

Hehehe. Thanks. I've actually been lurking for a few years on and off, but have finally bitten the bullet as the engine and gearbox in the Brumby seem to be on the way out. So it sounds like by disassembling the forester, I should be able to do most of it without too many more parts required. I'm pl...

Forester Motor & Gearbox into Brumby
Hi All, I've managed to find an old forester manual EJ20 donor car to transfer the running gear into one of my Brumbies. So it sounds like I should be fairly straight forward (cough), apart from the "custom inner CV joints" mentioned in the sticky thread Can somebody clarify what that means/how they...

Brumby ute tray edging coming off, What to replace/fix it with?
The little plastic things under the chrome strip are disintegrating, anybody know where I can get replacements?
Failing that, what are others doing around the edge of the ute tray?
TIA

Not sure this is the right place, but have noticed a couple of Brumbies for sale lately:
1. On Alexandrina Road in Mount Barker SA - $ 7990 for a very neat looking one that I drove past.
2. At Nairne in SA @ Nairne Complete Auto Care - $ 2000 neg for a bit of a roughie.

Rhino Lining
I just got around to ringing about this. The guy was helpful, said it would take a full day, and cost $ 750.00. They pull all the removable panels off, and do them individually, and for older utes, generally do a primer coat first. Another alternative is from bushranger.com.au - they apparently make...

Spoke to transport SA today, asked about putting new engine into Brumby. The guy said a Std 2.2L is easy, for the 2.2L EFI you need to keep the ECU exposed so they can tell its not aftermarket. In both cases you just need to fill out a form and let them know what you are doing. The lists of allowed ...

Looks like an EJ18 would be the only option in South Australia? http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/pdfs/personal_transport/light_vehicles_pdfs/engine_changes_less_4gvm_01.pdf Although it looks like you might be able to request an approval before starting if its not on the list. http://www.transport.sa.g...

They don't care what the output is, it is only the capacity, you may put a Honda S2000 motor into a car that was an EA81/82 if your heart so desires. As long as the emissions are same or better and all the anti-pollution gear is retained and no major structural changes take place it is an "Owner Ce...
