No dramas :D Only issue i could see with your setup is that the relay will be drawing from your starter battery. I like the idea of no draw at all from the starter batt, but the relay isn't gunna draw much. But if you forget about it, it will be sitting there nawing away your starter batt slowly.

Thanks for the info mate...definitely has got me interested now. Would be a cheaper option than $400 to get a Parrot MKI9200 kit installed...$120 for the part + $40 for installation. The funny thing is that Subaru Australia AND Performance Autos (the Subaru reps in Hobart) have no idea if it's poss...

The more rewiring you do the less reliability you will have. Just hook up any extra work/camping lights, inverters etc to the second batt. I would add a feed from the second batt to a switch on dash to power the stereo when the ignition/acc is off if ya want to listen to tunes. Make sure you switch ...

I put one in my new MY07 Outback over the weekend. Part number H6210AG000, about $120 from subaru parts. Yes its a rip off but it is plug and play and easy. Its a 5 wire connection to the 3.5mm socket and you unplug a cable from the back of the head unit and plug this in and it has a socket to plug ...

I had a similar thing happen on a skyline, turned out to be the fuel pressure reg. The diaphragm split letting fuel straight through into the manifold which made it run stupidly rich and hence run like shit and blow heaps of blue smoke. Haven't played with an n/a ej for ages so cant remember if they...

In Melbourne you can get it retuned by Subaru at STI Docklands which i think is the ultimate admission of a crap standard tune. I havent had it done cause im happy enough with mine as is. Check out www.rslibertyclub.org perhaps for good Brisbane based tuners if no one on here knows of any.

EKUTEK is overpriced these days as there are plenty of people who can retune them for ya for less money and as much power (and inversely, reliability) as you want.

Yeah there's a few getting around, i frickin love mine. They are not without probs, the aus tune was shit house so they ping in hot weather and a lot killed big ends cause of it. The twin set up can leave a big hole in the power curve where it changes from single to twin operation (know as VOD, vall...

I had a mate in a similar situation. Basically there are two major companies in the field he works in and he was working in sales for one of them. This means he knew EVERYTHING about the pricing/supply/profit/customer base of the company. Hated it so he jumped ship to the other company in the field ...

http://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/content.asp?doc=/content/33874.htm I don't think that is correct in this case. Think about it - 74 cents per kilometre? So your boss is supposed to pay you $370 for driving 500 kilometres in your car? The figures on that website are what you are supposed to use whe...

I did nearly 700km in my B4 for work recently, got paid at the 75 cents per km rate. About $500 for taking the B4 for a fang, loving that!

I always found the aircon sucked the life out of my L. Worked stupidly well, at times it would freeze the core and clouds of fog would come out of the vents and fall down the front of the dash, was cool as. But yeah it sucked the power majorly, sounds normal to me :(

Yes, I can select low range, neutral, and high range. I'm pretty sure the lever is traversing the full extent each way. The lights on the dash stay constantly on 4WD, and the "low" indicator illuminates when in low range (there is no high indicator). There isnt a proper neutral position on subies, ...

Google "subaru bighorn" or "subaru saab" for a few suby model/platform sharing shenanigans, there's probably a few others kicking around too.

Consider this first hand info not internet rumour:???:, its definitely possible to snap the cam belt on an L and not break or bend anything. Doing 70-80kmh and it just stopped, new belt and no problems at all :D:D
