back from holidays and need to get this stuff moved - $150 the lot or it goes to the metal recycler.

you will pay at least $100 from a wrecker for a bonnet only so I reckon the price is pretty reasonable.

finally got around to looking under the car and it seems the sticker has been spray painted over but there are some numbers cast into the diff housing but not sure if they mean anything

I suspect the 89 2 is the DoM. the 28 is in a stamped circle.

righto, though I suppose the liberty has a bit more grunt to move the higher ratio gears - so to speak. could be worth considering if/when the box needs rebuilding.

I'll check it out - I have also heard somewhere that there is a stabilising bar/link between the gearbox and the chassis to stop it moving around during accel/deccel so I will have a squiz at that one.

thanks heaps guys I'll have a squiz under the car tomorrow and get back to you. it goes into first gear fine and never jumps out on acceleration, only when decelerating. in case the sticker is gone is the ratio stamped somewhere? it's a d/r 4wd (not awd) box and the low range seems to be pretty clos...

liberty info

I was after some general info re buying liberty 4wd wagon. I currently have a l-series touring wagon with ea82T + link computer, 2" lift, 14" wheels etc which is great but my missus hates driving and it runs on PULP which is a bit hard to come by in the outback. so I am tossing up whether to do it u...
