We've had our 2005 3.0R Outback for about 3,000 KM and it has averaged just below 11.0 L/100. Mostly short trips around Wollongong plus occasional Sydney etc. We don't thrash it, just normal driving. Subaru is a nicer car all round but Commodore will give you more space inside and be a heap cheaper ...

We bought an '85 Touring Wagon in '92. My wife found the seat uncomfortable for her back, even with the lumbar adjust. We replaced it with a basic Recaro. Huge difference. Hi, the left rear power window on my L Series is stuck in the fully open position. I've ruled out the switch as the cause because: a) the switch operates the other window properly b) the switch from the other window still doesn't work.
