We've had our 2005 3.0R Outback for about 3,000 KM and it has averaged just below 11.0 L/100. Mostly short trips around Wollongong plus occasional Sydney etc. We don't thrash it, just normal driving. Subaru is a nicer car all round but Commodore will give you more space inside and be a heap cheaper ...

We bought an '85 Touring Wagon in '92. My wife found the seat uncomfortable for her back, even with the lumbar adjust. We replaced it with a basic Recaro. Huge difference. Hi, thanks for the responses, esp Jordan because it worked! Ran one cable from the red wire in the switch and another from battery negative. Turned on ignition and up went the window. :D Disconnected it so that it can't be wound down again.
