I have this prob on 98 OBW. confirmed the reverse switch on the MT is functioning by accessing the connector in the engine bay. Applying 12V with a wire to the white/red wire has the back-up/reverse lights alight. Checked every fuse in the side panel - all ok. the wire diagram doesn't show a relay.....

I concur with disco on point 4) "injectors simply solenoids" At the speeds these mechanical devices must be run, if you don't take into account inertia and hysteresis you won't get very accurate opening times, especially near idle, this even more so applies to peak and hold injectors. On the other h...

I disagree with sweeping statements like "Good boxes nowdays use 32 bit microprocessors...." There's many reasons to choose a processor, 32bit is certainly easier to develop to by new engineers given the expensive tools that go with them hence it is becoming a leading choice in industry - developing...

Sell various L series 4WD CV shafts
one front shaft, never used, so new. I'm told its not the best of brands though, so selling for $60 should still get value out of that. another front shaft, its been well used, and still good. The boots are good, ifirc, the boots have no wear as i replaced them so ready to go fit. $30 2 x rear shaft...

anderson connectors are a PITA, but anyway they aren't made for often connect/disconnect cycles anyway. How much of your gear actually needs a 50,75 or 150Amp connection anyway? cannon bayonet style are beaut, positive click locking, 20amp gold contacts, i've used them for hooking up engel fridge n ...

i'll second that, Shurflow pump $100+ Injector $90 valve solonoid $75 IIRC plus its a hassle coming up with an appropriate water storage... Then controller needs to PWM control the pump, switch the valve on/off, ensure it only starts running when engine temp is normal, activate when boost (map signa...

agree with disco, hate the bastards....... even on those newer cars, we don't have many (if at all ) flat pancake roads, so even cars with the levelers, your approaching them on undulating road, and those lights are constantly flashing and blinding you - the levelers can't keep up I think. I do like...

but remember your suspension, exhaust and engine are still the same height. You really must be willing to go for bigger tires say like 28" to really get value out of 3" lift - IMHO Bigger tires give you real lift, though its not so prominent on a subaru, as it is on a live-axle type 4wd. 27" tires g...

between 0 and 1 I would have put disconnect battery but thats just me TOONGA you need the battery to assist in releasing fuel pressure. first post edited. Most troublesome parts. bolt behind the AC compressor. 3/8" socket toolset does reach in though, still extremely annoying. The driver side (RHS ...

I find it a little strange that its illegal to drive in fine weather with the foggies on, in norway i beleive it's actually illegal to drive without your lights on. strange rules. your very obviously not the only one. Try this, drive to a dark location, switch your driving lights OFF, and switch yo...

very good points replies above. Additionally I would add that if your multimeter is on the ohms range or diode or continuity range, you should ensure the circuit/wires have no other voltage source on them, otherwise it may result in damaged reading, and damaged multimeter likely. easy to check corre...

earthing points are corroded. you need to find them and clean em up. you may also have faulty relays, they aren't all that waterproof...you did say you drowned the car.... buzzing from alternator is not a good sign with the battery, just cause its 1year old doesn't mean it may not have a problem, di...
