mine only ticks when the engine is cold (for now), but may try the lifter goop in the oil as an oil change is due soon (will flush the oil too)

but that's why you still have the bushings there: http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn168/2coupedup/IMG_8606.jpg see on the far right of that bar's it looks like the stock bar (ie where the bushings go). it's only on the wheel side of the bushings that changes and ads that extra bit of flexibility ...

surely if the threaded section was long enough it'd be fine, or possibly even stronger as you'd have the original thickness bar plus the thickness of the coupling nut still love the idea of taking the bushings almost out of the equation like those nissan ones and using a heim joint effectively in it...

i'm guessing #2 :( my previous engine was doing something similar to that and #1 was really bad :( but strange thing, i get a stumble at the moment with my HCEA82T (hehe). no idea why - compression is all good, engine uses no oil nor coolant - it's just odd. only happens around the transition betwee...

a setup like those nissan ones would be pretty cool - doesnt look *that* difficult to makeup - just use an original and go from there. they look good because they take away the stress point at the chassis - where the bushings are

thoughts?

i wouldnt think an oil cooler in that place would be that good - as soon as you turn the engine off, oil would go back down in to the pan, then when you start the car again, you'd have to pump the oil up in to the cooler before anything would happen. or would some sort of check valve work?

ride the clutch mainly because of the gearing - it just takes a bit longer for the car to get moving. i dont mind shifting gears either, but others do. you do get pretty good economy in some cases - ie highway - but around town not so much because you have to use more throttle to get moving and to g...

i've got an ea82t with the 3.7 gearbox and 27" tyres and only the 1.19 low ratio. it's ok and good enough for everything i want. the gearing would be better going to 3.9 or even 4.11 (4.11 and 29" tyres (235/75/15) gives stock driveability gearing wise), but it's more than manageable. downsides are ...
