I'd be replacing the entire clutch as a kit, including pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing. No reason at all to go genuine, any well known aftermarket brand should do just fine. $480 is an absolute rip, I got my pull type turbo Exedy kit for less than $370! Surely a non turbo clutch kit ...

MAF - Mass Air Flow. Basically this sensor counts the volume of air entering the engine, and from this the ECU calculates engine load and thus adjusts the amount of fuel accordingly. The 02 sensor is the telltale on this, basically lets the ECU know how much fuel was actually burnt. BAC - Bypass air...

I think it's great, I am very happy they kept the 4 circle lights at the rear. better than the 350z. They have to if they want to call it a Skyline. The four lights are synonymous with the name. Well except for the R31 wagons that is... I think it looks like a bad rip on the Z. That's 180 degrees f...

idle is meant to be controlled by the ECU... so it being higher now is a little odd. Dave You can adjust the idle via the idle screw on the side of the throttle body (touches the throttle linkage). Subaru did this when my mum asked for the idle to be turned up slightly on the Forester. The screw al...

Oh, and AFAIK EJ alternators differ slightly model to model, my EJ20G alternator has 4 wires as opposed to EJ22 ones which have 3 wires. At a guess I'd say the EJ18 would have a three wire as well, but you'd prolly be able to wire in whichever you find. As for the mounting brackets, I'm really not s...

Im not aware of any ea81 model car having a return line. Not in Australia Dave, but our friends across the Pacific had them in their "Turbo Traction" models. The stock VL pump as fitted to them off the production line was apparently a really noisy unit. The Bosch one can be noisy too, but only if i...

LOL! Sorry, I'll side with smoov on this one. Only BMW I've ever driven was a 2002 320i - and to date it's the most refined car I've ever driven. Not bad considering it was the pov-pack. As for the extractor issue, its not pointless on a boxer engine. It's pointless on a siamese-port engine with hea...
