need pics so cops can nab thieves....
Got home from a one month holiday, and some nice person has put my L series up on blocks and taken off with the 14" factory alloys and cooper discoverer STTs. If anyone has pictures of either the tyres or the alloys, or even better the alloys with the tyres fitted, could you please email them to kin...

L series d/r lever not finding all ranges?
I only seem to be able to 'find' 4wd high, when i shift the range lever down it clicks through the two lower positions, but does nothing in 4wd low, and makes a teeth catching whirring noise in 2wd high.
any suggestions?

L-turbo, I just got to the stage of joining wires, and managed to suss out how to trick the car into thinking its in 'park'- the one plug that used to go to the auto box, that has more than one green wire coming out of it, if you join two of the green wires that should do the trick. the car still wo...

L- Turbo: good point- my plan is to get everything else hooked up, then get onto the wiring. I think a manual should have wiring diagrams for the auto box and the manual box, but as far as i can tell as long as you have the wires that sense where the select lever of the auto is- so you can join the ...

L-turbo i got the gearbox on a few hours after i posted the last comment, and hooked the clutch cable up and she works a treat. It isn't too tricky, the most trouble i had was getting the surclip off the auto cross-pedal bolt at the passenger side end (took about an hour and lots of swearing, got a ...

You were right Jono, i ended up just pulling the auto cross pedal bolt out, re-inserting the manual one through the manual brake pedal and then the clutch pedal. Was easy enough after all that, won't know if it works untill i have got the gearbox on and everything hooked up... cheers for your help, ...
