Thanks heaps for your advice. I broke a timing belt on my 'L' series car and it cost me a bomb. I'll take it all apart tomorrow and let you know how I went. I knew this was the right place to come. What is annoying is that the manuals don't mention the notch at the back of the sprocket...

Thanks for the advice. Just a quick question, I've done it by the arrow, Have I made a 'fatal' mistake or will the timing just be out. It turned over smoothly by hand.

Can't start it!

I'm new here and will post a g'day post soon. I just need a little help in the interim. CAR:1994 Liberty (EJ22) auto wagon. ISSUE: I've had the car off the road for about 1 month. I've had the timing belt off to do some work. I put the belt back EXACTLY like the manual and many 'tech' sites explaine...
