Hey Bennie, thanks! Say I'll drive all the way to Bundaberg from Brisbane which it will go fine all the way. I'll stop and have a break for an hour or two, then when I drive off all of a sudden it will just cut out the engine no matter what. Then if I let it cool down for about 20 minutes it starts ...

Engine cuts out when used for long hauls

I thought I would ask what people might think of my EA82 engine in a 91 sportswagon cutting out during long trips? New bearings it needed, even though the wheel didn't show any play at all! I'm used to motorcycles and testing for play to check the bearing but in cars the noise and heat coming from the wheel hub seems to be the best way of testing.

Thanks again boys, I am going to change the left - front bearings after thinking it couldn't be much else, if this doesn't work I will get the tyres ckecked. The noise/vibrations start at about 40km/h very quietly then get more severe with speed and I noticed yesterday that it feels like the car doe...
