Today his fuel pump was randomly cutting out. Took it down to his mechanics place. They tested all the fuses, checked all the relays. The...

The gearboxes from the standard MPFI L series also have the larger splines, might be a cheaper option rather than a genuine RX one, and as Jaffa says no weaker or stronger.

Tim - still one wheel drive? Mattims - EA82 chemiwelded, EJ20TT main bearing gone? Jaffa - blown head gaskets? Subamike - MY d...

That sounds about right. If you look in the engine bay at the compliance plate it will have a GVM of 1650kg. Gross Vehicle Mass. This means the L series + whatever it is towing, inclusive. The L series should way approximately 1100kg (can't remember the exact number for this). This leaves an approxi...

Liftkit sales enquiry

Hi Brett,

I would like to buy a 4" Lift kit.
My car is a 1990 L series Touring Wagon.

Can you give me a price (including frieight to Perth) and an ETA once I give the go-ahead?

Cheers,

Andrew.

Attn WA Dirtbike riders

Watch out for Police/Rangers on vacant land and bush tracks. They are having a blitz on "reckless behaviour" in the leadup to Xmas.

Yeah it still sounds to be a relatively minor problem to me....you still have good power, and no terminal noises. Just a case of tracking it down! I might have some time to throw your way on Sunday for abit of a general troubleshooting session, can't do any harm if your up for it. :D

Yeah definitely very difficult to match up the model with the ones listed in the books. I always try to bring in the broken/worn out part in with me for an actual comparison if possible. I've got a running argument with just about every staffmember of RAC insurance at the moment. 1990 L series Touri...

Most people hate the noise so much (as they hear it blast past them and off into the distance)....

BRAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPP!!!!

Can't wait till I've done my EJ20 conversion to the L series anyways, best of both worlds. Two "unconventional" engines in my cars.
Turbo Boxer and Turbo Rotary :D
