Great looking car... and those rims really set it off. I thought I recognised them. Same style as what my old man had on his Prado for a while, except they were 20"s and a freckle more sidewall to do the beach with the weight of the car (and him hehe). Thanks for sharing the pics... I've included on...

Headed to the Subi Queenslands 30th Birthday bash today, got a few of my questions and problems sorted thanks to the body of knowledge there. That combined with pretty much any spare amount of time dedicated to cleaning or improving the car in it's first fortnight has put a decent dent into the list...

Incredible job. I've just gone back over the entire thread to check your comments as it came along, knowing where it ends up. Remarkable that you kept the same quality from start to finish, almost like you had a plan ;)

Definitely inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Rik, yeah it was a hell of a weekend. It didn't miss a beat in 14 hours of mostly driving, just fuel stops and food breaks. I'm hoping to get to the Club Birthday Weekend but I've sent a PM to Jan to check it's ok. Haven't joined up as a member yet, but will be next meeting. (and hoping the club...

Thanks Matt. Yeah very happy. My biggest concern was the missus. As a Supra fan, I wasn't sure the L Series was going to cut through her bias. (Wagons are for mums and old people). Rang her 4 blocks from home and told her to wait outside. A little right foot up the hill and the smile on her face as ...

The guy was asking $3k, but we got it for $2K. Put $1k down for the mods in advance and haven't had a bill yet for the rest. New gas struts for the rear door, exhaust, tyres, rims (and paint), rust (and paint), window tint. I know I wont get change, but I'm not expecting the remainder to be too big ...

Ror's First Subi (92 L Series Wagon)

Ok, so after a 4am wakeup, I ended up in frozen Newcastle and finally got to see my car. So damn nice. Although some kinks to iron out, I am completely sold on this car. Huge thanks to everyone for the advice. The forums and the 'search' tool have been my friend as well. When the car was bought, it ...

Got my 92 L Series Carbie this weekend, and initial observations look like the 9L/100km are what I'm getting fully loaded. (Thanks for the figures FredSub) It's a 240,000km engine that's been relatively well looked after. Going to make a post with some details, questions and the like that might help...

The song is very likely a tracked piece that they've bought off a songwriter. I've got a mate who still writes a bit like this, selling off to ad companies usually. You could probably write to Subaru and ask them, or if you get REAL lucky and have (or know someone who has) an iPhone, see if they can...

I don't know why, but this just made me grin. :) Very impressive work on the door trims too. Can't wait for the big 'overview' pics once it's all done.

Cool. So it's got the uneven headers in as standard. That's the main thing. :) Means it's simply a matter of giving it a bit less obstruction between cat and exhaust tip till it's the volume I'm after. Thanks for your help Alex. Once I actually get the car in 2 or 3 weeks I'll grab some pictures, an...

Hi guys, rather than start a new thread, this is a similar question to mine, however I'd love to get a few things clarifed that a newbie subi owner doesn't know. ;) I've just purchased a 92 L Series Wagon, and am keen on getting the exhaust done to not be loud, but if under a bit of juice in second ...
