try tying a piece of piano wire from your right big toe to your left testical and I am sure your consumption figures will improve. as for solar charging instead of alternator charging, have a look at the sunfoil project on youtube.

forgot to say I also got a brand new tailshaft made by adelaide drive shaft services. it has nissan uni at the gearbox end and holden at the other, both uni joints are rebuildable and have grease nipples. the shaft size is heaps bigger to avoid whip and it came painted and balanced for $299.55

well if you had a rear disc conversion already then you could bolt up nissan s12 rear calipers, bend the bit were the handbrake cable goes in just a bit to clear the rear end ,and hook up the cables. the hardest part is finding the rear disc hubs.

the first sube I owned was a very beat up ex telstra brumby, but my grandfather had a brumby on the farm. It had all the same qualities as the toyota stout, that is you could overload it and leave it idling in a paddock all day without it overheating. since then ive had five brumbies and wrx.

well you can fit a chev in a datsun 1600, there are a few fourwheel drive hotrods around and I've seen a big block in a morris minor. the big problem I see with what you want to do is you still end up with an l series subaru.
