well, there is only one left in any kind of good nick, and I think there are, what, six of them along the row? so maybe 5? I've looked at what repco have and they don't have they same sort of clip. I suppose one couyld rig them up but if they are available, I'd rather the right ones.

dfoyl, your right dark grey is it, where the hell do you get new ones? failing that, Frog, I'd be happy to take you up on that offer, and if they are grey then thats a bonus. and re clips I think they are the same, dfoyl, so again, love it if we could arrange such things.

Or am I just dreaming of the impossible? If you could though, how hard would that ...

4/140 to 4/100 ?

I seem to remember, or atleast I think I remember, seeing an article or a reference to converting the 4/140 stud pattern to 4/100 using lug holes already on the plates.. Anybody else here seen this or know about its relevance?

I know that I frequently tow a big freakin generator on a trailer that has a GVM of 3.34 tonnes with a truck with a mass of only 2.24 tonnes... bloody scary exercise as the trailer has no trailer brakes .. specially around the streets of Sydney.. funny what you'll do for a crust isn't it?

Right, You have convinced me. Fuel consumption, while always a factor, isn;t my major concern as it only really pops me to and from work, and maybe a few places in between. But I'm all about performance, so DAMN the Torpedoes, FULL SPEED AHEAD!! wot, wot..

Weber Pros and cons?

I've been alll keen to install my newly acquired weber onto my old faithful, But I had a chat to a carby mechanic today and he ahd some rather discouraging things to say about the idea. Mainly that more likely than not, off the line acceleration would probably drop, that flat spots would increase, a...

Been snuffing around the engine and various web pages and learned alot. HOWEVER, it still seems like there are alot of tubes that aren't going to be doing anything whence the weber goes in. Can anybody fill me in on what these tubes are, what they do, what I can take out and what effect it will have...

Had a further look at the problem just now. The More I look at it and rationalise the issue, the more I am figuring out the problem. Maybe not so hard after all. hmm
