Well with all the "ute" designs on this site, forward them to Fuji and request a "ute" with the safety features of a current model car. If enough of these are received, something may happen. I am sure they would sell well in .AU ( I have a Brumby and love the concept , an Outback spec Brumby would b...

Rear LSD is the most viable for normal driving. Welded diffs are good for 4wdriving in stuff where you are going to need it, but thats all, its a pain the rest of the time. Lockers are rare, I have seen Detroit ones, they are great for hard 4wdriving. Some LSD make 4wdriving much more enjoyable :coo...

Doug is correct, you have an open rear diff. The handbrake works on the front wheels. You have 2 diffs in your standard Brumby, front and rear. As these are not limited slip, if one wheel looses traction on a differential, it will be spun freely by the motor, as it is the easiest to spin. 4wd means ...

Turbulence in the right amount in the right place is fine, the length and rough finish inside Subaru manifold will allow plenty of time and tubulance for the air and fuel to mix. A problem you may get with the steps, is relative to which way the butterflies open over them and how close they get. The...

I've got a Southern Cross tent, been made in Bayswater for many years. Simple, well made and very durable. 4 pegs, one pole, done.(few more pegs for windy/wet weather) "Market leading 5 year manufactures warranty." Warm in winter and the temperature from people inside stop it freezing. Cool in summe...

Be carefull playing with Subaru light wiring, on L's the way the headlight earthing switches after the IGN is off, varies between years, would not be surprised if Brumby's are similar. Subaru in their infinite wisdom, earths some headlight wiring when the IGN is off. When you say lights, do you mean...

I agree with the idea of pre-heating the whole thing before you weld it, as welding it cold would put stresses on points. You would also need the correct rods/wire to suit this sort of work. There is info on the net about how to pre-heat, pre-welding and how to weld it and what with. Just remember, ...

I've done a few 3.7 to 3.9 or 4.1. The theory is the housings and centres are machined to a set size, its the gears that vary, so keep the shims with the gears. Although the crown wheel bolts vary in size/style, use the same bolts on the crown wheel, as the thread sizes are the same but the shaft th...

Very common EA82 problem, the bearings in the LHS notched idler wheel seize up. You can just change the bearing in the idler wheel, its cheap and common. If you can, you can fit two bearings inside the idler wheel, just need to turn down the mount to make it fit. Two bearings last a lot longer than ...

What did they do to fix the air flow meter? Hotwire or flapper? The AAC sometimes needs to be adjusted (getting old now), from cold what RPM does it go to? Are all plug contacts clean and shiny, if not clean them. Fuel pressure dropping down can be the pump, its not a new car. If its an injector, it...

Thats a hard one to diagnose on the spot. Could be anything. YOU need to check for signs of anything wrong.
