Hello and welcome to AUSubaru

If the 05 model engine is from a Forester it will be a 2.5L.

Can you post a detailed photo of the cam sensor on the 2.5 and a photo of where it isnt on the 2.0?

I dont want to clog your thread, but I thought I might clear up for others reading the thread that I solved my front suspension issue. Impreza front struts have the same size coil diameter as Liberty, but the lower spring seat is offset more to the rear, thus solving my clearance issue. I have a set...

I tried putting an EJ auto in a FWD auto MY sedan and it wasnt even close to fitting. Tunnel mods would be needed.

If you have a turbo vortex, run it on 98 only.
The engine would have been designed for 95, but with 98 in in, you should be able to advance the timing by a degree or 2 and get a few more horsepower out of it

I thought that might be the case.
So it will be standard Liberty king springs and lift blocks to increase the height

What I need to know is will running raised springs in the Bilsteins which are designed for lower springs make them extend too much making it possible to fully extend when driving over say a pothole? Hard to explain but I dont want to limit my downwards travel by using too long springs

Wow much easier than I imagined.
Somebody should get onto this and manufacture them. Not like there is a shortage of rear drums.

Manufacture of the rear hubs is the reason I didnt bother try to fabricate my own crossebread kit.

Ive seen somebody use the bottom of a paint bucket or similar, cut it to size, spray paint it to match and press it in the hole. Looked as good as the genuine ones from a few metres away

First gen forester, 1997 - 2002.
Has a 2lt efi engine, decent low range and has better approach and depart angles than an outback.
It also has nice things like aircon and power everything.
