Unscrew the SG speed sensor out of the gearbox and screw your L cable in. Speedo now operates. It will not be accurate, but it wouldn't have been accurate after you put big wheels on it anyway. All that's required here is getting the speedo head recallibrated by an instrument technician. They will ...

Sensor unit... ive forgotten the price but its something like $475 for AWD version. Cheers AP Ya I was told $500 by my local... why bother? Just use the odo I reckon... thanks for the tip with the fuel sender. its funny coz it seems to be a common problem on lots of cars, it was notorious on my old...

it certainly is the fuel gauge, after filling up 30L till full my tank was showing a 1/4 tank left meaning it was 1/4 of a tank innacurate reading on the gauge haha. i may end up changing the fuel sender unit, are they expensive? and is it difficult to change? Don't bother - ask Subaru they'll say ...

Welcome to the forums dude! Are you gonna share with us a pic of your new ride? dunno if they fixed it in the gen 2s, but in gen 1s the fuel gauge sending unit is notoriously shit. They generally indicate empty on the gauge when they still have about 1/4 of a tank left. Fill your tank up full as ful...

In the process of reinstalling my oil and water pumps i managed to break 3 bolts... the first was surprising, the second was frustrating, and after the third one i went and bought new bolts - not a broken one then, and i only did one with the torque wrench, rest by hand. Stupid torque wrench. Luckil...

liberties are a pain to bleed 100% - do not rush it, and start with the engine stone cold and heater open full blast with fans on high. The heater core is quite high compared to the radiator, so if you can fill your system with the car parked sightly uphill, or on axle stands, it'll make the job eas...

Stick with it Rhys! Defenetly get the o2 sensor installed - I reckon that'll pull your fuel economy right in to where you think it should be if not better. I dunno if you'll get some more power or not, that may not change much if at all with an o2 sensor. Benny's got it in one. The o2 sensor is res...

pretty sure its handbrake light, there's an oil pressure light (looks like an oil can) for oil and the 'check engine' light will come up with there is anything wrong elsewhere... is the ! surround by brackets, ie (!)? Could just be a loose connection or a dodgy senson... check the manual that's avai...

Have you checked idle speed and timing? After reinstalling my ej on the weekend i'd kept the idle high after running the new oil through, it idle'd like crap when being driven, but settled down after i'd readjusted it and the computer remembered what an engine was... Checked your plugs and leads asw...

Got it all wired up last night, awesome! Driving to the grampians tonight for the weekend so get to test 'em out! So far the only things i've managed to 'spot' with them was a very starlted possum slinking along the fence behind my garage when I fired them up for the first time. Ended up being quite...

Sweet as! The RooLites i bought came with a power relay so that's all good. I had two switches included with the lights, but I wanna find one of those 'missle launcher' type cover switches... just because! I'm sure the novelty will wear off eventually, but it'll be fun for a while! So AP you reckon ...
