I haven't enough dosh at the moment to buy the body lift and hoping to put the new wheels on asap. Managed to pick up BF Goodrich ATs with forre...

Fog lights - the truth?

Ok so there I was crusin around in some dense melbourne fog this morning and I thought to myself, "damn, really should have bought those fog lights a few days ago". Then I remembered why I didn't buy them - because I was confused and had to research first. The thought was planted by a fellow named C...

For those who need 'em the dates are June 6-8, unless you go on friday then it'll be 5-8. Myself and my girlfriend hope to make it, it would be great to meet you guys and put faces to names. Depending on cash and time between now and then, it is possible that Scubs will be all modified and ready to ...

Good stuff bennie! I'm in my final year at monash, outdoor ed and SOSE are my two methods. What is it with outdoor edders and subis??? Just finished my 5 week teaching block at a tough inner melbourne public school - pretty full on that's for sure! So much of subalex's comments ring true for me also...

Alright so a quick question on trailing arm mounts... Is it correct that the standard set up of a 92 lib, combined with outback struts and raised springs, will result in the rear wheels being forward of centre in the wheel wells? Will this result in a set of 16" rims and 215/70s not having enough sp...

Sorry for the grave dig everybody... Steve, how has the wear on your CV joints been with the pedders springs? They're a 50mm lift as opposed to king's 25mm and I'm having trouble deciding which ones to go... Also, could you post a pick of your rear wheel? I wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like wi...

Hey mate thanks for the post! So far just the bull bar on but hopefully tomorrow I'll have the new steel 16" purchased, and possibly BFG A/Ts - anyone recommend for or against these tyres? From what I hear they're pretty good. Any steel over alloys? I have the choice for little extra cost. Internet ...

Sweet. Are the bits included only what is needed for the body lift? As I'm also putting in the spring lift what other considerations are there?

awesome! I agree with vincent above. Last time i was at Portside in January they had 3rd Gen outback there, if it is, its different setup to 1st/2nd Gen Liberty. (better double check with them) Also you will need trailing arms mounts if you're going for a lift. (if Portside is 2nd gen outback, then...

You know it's been a long day when you carry the fuse box cover inside and wonder why it's in your hand... I traced the wire back, oddly enough it feeds back into the interior fuse box connected to the #17 15amp fuse (radio) - the inline fuse is also 15A. The inverter is only a little one at 150W an...

It works! Thanks for all your advice everybody! As i said earlier, the multimeter was reading 12v from the connection at the dash all the way to the switch, so flow wasn't a problem in that sense. I'm not sure if anyone looked at the diagram carefully, as my main problem was smacking obvious and I'm...

quick question on tires for members from Vic - spoke to a few tire dealers around the place on the phone this arvo - most were quite hesitant to sell anything other than the original size of 185 because VicRoads say we're supposed to stay within the 30% limit of manufacturer's recommendations, other...

image should work now... forgot to put in that it has a fuse on the positive wire about 10cm from the connection to the car... keffa, i checked with the multimeter, full 12v flowing in at the base of the inverter... so it might as well be hooked up to the battery... it runs with as little as 10v any...

Inverter project... help!

Hey folks! Ok so I have officially spent too much time trying to wire in my inverter and the bastard still won't start. Why am i screwing around with an inverter? I'm hiding it in between the centre console and the low range lever and naturally the cord doesn't reach.... Basically when I put in my s...

Thanks again everybody for your info and advice. AP, always up to share a story! The gearbox felt a bit rough when I bought it in feb last year (odo @ 235,000km), and the clutch seemed ok, though not super. After about 6 months the smell of clutch was starting to become regular on both short and lon...

Pedders outback struts and pedders 30mm lift springs. A quote from pedders just now put it at 180/strut and 185/pair of strings, roughly $1000 for the lot - this seem close to what you paid? Any issues with the spring lift in terms of drive shaft and cv joints? Also, what years of outbacks should I...

Thanks for your help everybody!
