Thanks for the advice guys, now more terrified than worried!:) Just kidding! Was going to use the forester (which I think weighs around 1400kg + three other family members so around 1700 kg all up) which has a towing capacity of 1400kg (so it says on the tow bar) but will now take up my mates offer...

Best advice I can offer:
Sunroof: Put it on ebay.
Roof lining: Get an auto trimmer to install a new one. I had one installed in my VS Commodore wagon and it looks like new. Only cost $200. Shop around and they might even do it in the fabric you want.

I don't mind. A swap sounds GREAT! ;)

Seriously though, it's for my teenage daughter's car so $200 is to much for a casual worker still at school. She can barely afford the petrol.
I just thought it was worth asking. :-D

Hey,
can't help you with the length of bolts, but is the kit good enough to sell and for how much. I could possibly help you remove it so as to learn how to refit it.
Interested?

Does that make Fred Astaire an alien to? He was doing the moonwalk aka The Backslide, many years before michael.

Thanks for the comments. I had a mobile auto sparky come to my home. $150 for a BRAND NEW alternator and $50 to fit it. Should be good for a loooooong time now.

Alternator for Brumby URGENT

Hey all. Does anyone around Brisbane (preferably north, even up to sunshinecoast) have an alternator for a standard 1800 Brumby? Had one die on my daughters car tonight and would like to fix it tomorrow (so she doesn't have to borrow my car again). I will pickup with C.O.D. for a reasonable price. I...

Just wondering, exactly how much lighter are MY's to L series in general? ie, an MY sportswagon compaired to an L sportswagon? Hard to get a comparison on the same year but a 1990 Deluxe L manual kerb weight is 1080kg and the 1994 sportswagon N manual is 1035kg. This is from Redbook. I'm still new ...

have you both got mobiles? naked ADSL + voip line rental isn't an issue then. I use voip for national / international calls and just use my mobile to call other mobiles Yup. that's the best option. You just plug your normal phone into the modem and use it the same as always. Use your mobiles to cal...

Much cheaper to get the existing carby overhauled and properly tuned. Get the right spark plugs and have a competent professional tune the car with regards to timing. The trick is to get the right company to do it. I could recommend someone in Kipparing QLD but NSW I don't know.
