I was a passenger on a 4wd trip in an auto GT Forester with lift kit. After only having manuals, I was quite surprised how capable it was. The torque converter takes out a lot of the slack when trying to crawl over stuff. ie the engine could be spinning harder loading up the gearbox, but the torque ...

Settle down a bit about the speed of reply. This is a forum, not FB or Twatter :p You can fit 14 rims without a lift kit, but you'll have to fit smaller tyres, so completely defeats the purpose. Only the 85-87 4wd wagons came with height adjustable suspension, and then only genuine from Subaru. Afte...

I've seen 3, 4, & 5 wires, but never 2. Series 1 TPS didn't have a potentiometer, just an idle & full throttle switch. So that's 2 wires, but there still should be a power wire to go with that. The spider manifold engine I've got has a 4 pin plug, but is missing the TPS as it was wired up in an earl...

although, you've got an EJ22, not an EA82T, so you've got a different ECU. Check which fuel pump is being used. If it's the stock EA EFI pump, then there should be a strainer in the inlet of the pump. If it's not the factory pump, check there's a filter in the line between the tank & the pump. The m...

Just remembered, I had a fuel issue on my touring wagon with a turbo halfcut transplant 15 years ago.
There's an issue with the circuit where the fuel pump earths back through the ECU.
The solution is to earth the fuel pump directly to the body instead.
Really cheap fix, I'd suggest doing that first.

Is the Leone a carby model? If so, the fuel tank is different to the RX. You'll need an EFI tank. It's got a bigger outlet for the fuel & an internal swirl pot. If you can wait til the end of March, I could bring you one from a Vortex, but I'll need to see if they are the same fitment as the Leone. ...

Gearstick linkage bushes on the Liberties are prone to failure. Remove the centre console & rubber boot & you'll see them.

I vaguely remember some adjustment on the low range cable somewhere also.

I've got one in Sydney.
3.7 diff ratio. Came from an 89 DL with about 150 000km

Works fine as far as I know.

Not after a lot for it as its surplus. If you want to work out a shipping cost & then come back to me with an offer.

Did the amber sections originally have globes in them? Or are they just reflectors?

If globes, just make me a set of those :p

Now, if I can just figure out how to make a set of wagon taillights clear....

Might have a black one around still, hiding somewhere. I've installed power mirrors in mine. It's real easy to install the power mirrors if you want to go that way. All the wiring is in the dash loom as it uses one of the existing fuses that has ACC power in the dash. And the wires to mirrors hang o...

Love the way you can fit the spotties into the turn signal area on your bumpers.
No chance of doing that here.
Been trying to source some of the US spec front side markers, cos they don't have the raised turn signal part. Had no luck so far...

If your LX & GX are both 95 models, then strip everything out of the GX, complete wiring loom included, and swap it all over. Subaru (like all Jap makers) were in a rut during the 90s, so they started going to the effort of making different looms (therefore with different amounts of copper wiring) f...

I need to reload CAD onto my home computer, but happy to do this. Maybe email me the pic? it needs to be as square onto the surface as possible, cos I import it in, and then trace over it. Once I've seen the pic, I'll be able to get better idea of what measurements I need. Ultimately, it'd be best t...

Anyone know of a car in Sydney with these still in good condition that could be traced?
I've done this with my L series Touring wagon and then re-drawn them in CAD. Aiming to do this with a whole heap of stickers.
Should then be able to take the file to any sticker company to be printed out.

WTB: gen 1 Liberty wagon lift kit

Looking for a 2nd hand (cos it needs to be cheaper) lift kit for a Gen 1 Liberty. It's not for off roading, but my brother has some issues with getting in & out of his car cos of the low height and his bad knees, and can't afford a new car. The air suspension got replaced ages ago otherwise this pro...
