not sure about the looks, if it does come out with an AWD/turbo combo i'd say the toyota price tag would be scary

Anyone looking for L series parts on the central coast?

Budgerwoi wreckers on the cental coast have 3 wagons and 2 sedans (L series) if any one needs some bits then maybe check them out, there prices are good (compared to other wreckers) but take your tools cause you have to get them yourself. 3 wagons, includes '89 sportswagon and '88 touring wagon with...

I put this same unit into my L series wagon about 6 months ago, quality at a cheap price. Also it also doesn't look out of place in the L series dash.

cheers

Yep good idea, very similar to the way dumper bin trucks load and offload the bins, except they use hydraulic jacks instead of a winch, but a nice piece of home engineering.

i used to get that sort of range with my old L series, the mechanic drilled the jet hole out to get rid of the flat spot, the car accelerated better but guzzled alot more fuel, the carby probably wasn't at optimum tuning either

I drew a diagram of the plug while testing, if you got a fax machine i could send it through.

I would assume that all models had the same plug and configuration but these cars are japanese and assumption is the mother...

should be cool for sandy tracks, i only use GTX2 in my L series, i only ever use castrol products in my cars as they have been round a long time and there a very reputable company, but i have been told by an engine builder that the engines they striped down that had used magnatec were pretty bad, ki...

yeah good one, does sound like you got what you needed for a couple of years, by the way how does an L series go on the sand with a family, 14's and no low range? just curious. also i have heard some bad things about magnatec oil, it holds the microscopic metal particles in the engine and doesn't do...

by the way the castrol coolant i tried to get only comes in 200 litre drums, subaru told me to use nulon with mono ethylene glycol for the old L series, but i would prefer the castrol products

don't bother, the research that goes into these is next to nothing compared to factory, nearly all of them use more fuel anyway

this might be a little off topic but i think it has relevance, sometimes when i fill up (from pretty close to empty) the bowser measurement is more than the tank capacity. i think the tank capacity for an L series is 40 litres (please correct me if i'm wrong, i'd like to know). 1. am i wrong with th...

harsher ride, tyres will be more expensive and you won't have as great a choice of tyres, if there pimp type chromie's they will add to unsprung weight, plus i think you will find they will be illegal for that type of car (i think you can only go 1 inch bigger diameter than standard)
