could be worn gears, could be clutch as El_Freddo noted.. I bought the car at 173k and it's now 230k (i think? or less) and have had nothing done to clutch or gearbox in that time. gearbox oil might have been replaced in a full service at some point, but not sure. I'd like to think i've been pretty ...

fuel goes stale over time (lawn mower places say 1 month)... also a possibility of building up evaporated fuel in the tank if you leave it outside forever..

i dunno personally though, as i said i had no worries with my fuel

subis are tough. Depends on the garaging conditions but if it's fairly quiet then you can just leave as is. obviously disconnect the battery.. but i didn't do anything (even forgot the battery) and just charged it up 10 months later, added about 300ml of oil :) and she kicked over 3rd time unharmed.

as matatak mentioned... you could try greyhound no idea if they'd take an engine though. grace or other large removal companies are also an option. they deal with all sorts of crap when they do a house removal (eg they transported two huge boxes of really messy engine parts for me without a question...

not sure if it'll help you in your situation, but you could measure up your current wheels and check the gaps you have, then run your new ones and current ones through this
