Using that theory, what is a Forester? Well, Subaru describe it as " ... a legendary Subaru All-Wheel Drive system" and "multi-award winning compact SUV" so take your pick. With outstanding interior space, class-leading safety and the legendary Subaru All-Wheel Drive system, the new generation Fore...

Does that logic make the Spyder a 4wd?

Image

Personally, I'd have called it an All Wheel Drive
I am of the view that 4WD's are for use off-road

Yep, I had the sealed beams changed to halogens a few years ago. IPF halogen headlight inserts (available from any ARB outlet) fit perfectly. I also bought the IPF loom and am using Osram 130/90 bulbs. This combination gives an excellent low and high beam. Haven't bothered fitting auxillary driving ...

<snip> I also want to make the fog lights work with the main light switch set to off. I tend to use them as daytime driving lights, but to turn them on you have to have the main light switch on, which dims the aircon display and other things, which annoys me. :p <snip> If you drive with headlights ...

Boxer Motors, Brendale QLD (ph: 07 3207 4495) sell aftermarket (urethane ???) rear diff bushes for Brumby. I fitted one of their bushes above the rear diff and it seems to be working well. The brumby's moustache bar bushes are also clagged, but I'm probably going to get another two bushes soon for t...

Yeah, Shockproof Light isn't cheap. I've got it in the Outback's gearbox and rear diff, but haven't decided if I'll also use it in the Brumby.

Brumby is running Multitrax in the gearbox.

outback wagon? Does the term OBW differentiate it from an Outback sedan? :p Assuming you are referring to SRS airbags ... ... It does take a decent deceleration force to activate Australian spec airbags (~18km/hr at the point of impact). Only way I could see that happening off-road is if you run in...

I've used 10w30 semi-synthetic in my EA81 for the past 2 years and it works fine.

Engine's done around 370,000km, no leaks, very little extra oil needed between servicings (~ 150ml extra oil per 10,000km), fuel consumption is around 8.7 litres per 100km.

Sorry mate, I can't give you an accurate pricing for a 3" lift kit as my Brumby already had a 2" lift fitted when I bought it.

SWK is doing some engine and gearbox work for me.

Best option for a 3" body lift is to contact Suby Wan Kenobi, and be patient (he's a tad busy doing some work on my Brumby this week).

SWK will also be able to advise you regarding struts and springs.

I kept on eye on the Brisbane Auctions websites for a repairable write-off Liberty. Ended up getting a Gen 1 Liberty sedan for $900 (plus gate charge, and towing costs).
