Well I ended up with the Navman PiN 570 and it is pretty good at getting around the place. Plus you can run can run software like OziExplorer instead of the software that it comes with. So you can then us very detailed maps.

I assume it is the electric thermo fan that is not working? The first thing to do is run some power from battery to the fan to see if it is working, if it turns that is ok. Next is to check the fan relay I know on the "L" series that this is on the drivers side of the engine bay near the strut. You ...

I recently had this problem. Turned out to a blown head gasket, fluid was escaping into the exhaust side of things. A new set of head gaskets could solve your problem.
