FWD to AWD

is it possible (and preferably easy and relatively hassel free) to convert a 94 FWD man lib to awd? if so how would you go about doing it? keeping in mind i would probly jsut be taking it to a mechanics and getting them to fit it all

alright, so to save mucking around what turbo SOHC engine would fit in the brumby? and if its not too much trouble what would be a suitable transmission to go with it?

i was looking for a turbo engine though.. im assuming there is a difference between the engine in the 91ish liberties (2.0 turbo) and the wrx engines (also 2.0 turbo) am i right? if so what are the differences...

well i've made the decision, im gonna get a dodgy brumby, not gonna worry about mileage or anything and pick up a cheap one probly and get a wrx half cut and rear diff (you's say i need a SOHC engine, yes?) and do the transmission conversion with a mate and maybe put the engine in with him too and c...

haha fair enough LOL yeh im not quite sure yet anyway. well my main priority isnt performance yet, im more of a looks man myself. im gonna get my stereo put in and do a bit of mods andthat then look at an engine swap :D

haha my bad i was just assuming there was such a thing LOL, i think there is an EJ20tt that came out in some of the liberty's, might find out which was a more powerful motor and go from there...

Biggest engine you can fit into a Brumby? EJ22. I can get you one for about a grand. this is just the engine though isnt it? still, i then have to ship it up here and that so i think it will be easier to go down to jap motors and pick up a front cut. how hard is it to fit an ej22t into a brumby or ...

well the convertion is pretty uncommon in my area, i live in townsville in north queensland. i have just thought of another option though (haha thats like the forth time LOL) see i work at supercheap (please, no criticism) but we have a shitload of of engines that we can order in and anyway i get a ...

but its really hard to buy parts for the brumbies and well the convertion is a very uncommon thing and it would go like a really fast thing. its so tempting.

another factor i forget to think about is with the wrx engine would it need power steering? i wouldnt have thought so as it would still be a very light car but what are your opinions?

hmmm well how much extra work is it to convert it to awd? bearing in mind that im only 16. and it the weight to power ratio is really what makes it impractical to have it as fwd i could always lower the boost and i plan to have about another 100-200kgs of stereo in the arse end of the ute (2xkicker ...
