Sure, you can get away with it - how many mechanics really do check the engine number when they're doing a pink slip? Fact of the matter is you'll be uninsured and liable. If you kill someone you may even go to jail. Very true, that was always my biggest concern with the EA82T in my previous Brumby.

....Or you could use a single relay with two contacts :) I was working on the premise of single pole relays as I have not come across double poles in automotive. True, I have not exactally been been looking for a solution, I have just come across heaps of the little black hella jobbies. But you are ...

Well bugger me, the Foz is a SOHC, when I find my stick of inches I will see if it will actually fit between the Brumby's rails without any butchering

That was my plan. The first relay to power the light and latch cck and the second to power relay 1 to break the latch cck.

I sketched it with one, then thought I was being smart with the latch, until I thought about what happens when the reverse switch goes open .. :) oops.

Well that makes two of us. I am going to go have an actual LOOK under my Foz bonnet for a change. :) The only down side to a new car - keeping the warranty In SA at least there is still the issue of easy, legal registration. They will only allow up to 2.2 SOHC. Without the whole engineer headaches. ...

I didn't realise there was a 2.5 SOHC ? I am more than happy to be corrected on this one, if they do exist I will be giving it sime serious thought for my conversion.. MYSUBA, there is a sticky about fitting the 2.2 SOHC liberty to MY's and L's it covers most of the gotcha's and for anything that is...

Can you get enough access in the sensor conn's to fish around with an audible multimeter to figure out the pin outs or do you need something specific like a conn Part number ?

On the rear I am planning on replacing the rotor with a new 4wd vortex one, I am just wondering if the 4wd rotor will fit in the 2wd rear calipers ?

Hmm, I thought L's and MY's both ran 13's from the factory ?

Will L series 13's fit the MY stud pattern and ofset ?

Just to clarify as I found a 2wd Vortex down the back of a wrecker... The backing plates / calipers are the same between 2wd / awd ? I am planning on new rotors / pads and a seal kit through the calipers anyway so I don't care if the rotor is unusable. Is it worth grabbing the fronts aswel, are they...

Fire tubes, hmmm. Probably a lot of reasons including habit, efficency, driver comfort, restrictive boiler code, reserve boiler energy. The classical water wall loco boiler is the style used exclusivley on silver soldered or brazed copper boilers (under 25 litres by the code and under 6" by practica...

In the loco context, the valve gear controls the steam admission as a percentage of piston travel. A good valve gear at maximum cutoff will admit steam for around 80 - 85 % of the stroke. The last 20% of the travel uses the steam expansivley ( I am sure there is a techie expression for that, but tha...

If you are staying put for a significant amount of time I would have a serious look at fitting a second, deep cycle battery. The last thing you want is to get that starter solenoid click in the middle of nowhere. Also suggest you find 12 volt versions of entertainment and lighting. Although they are...
