a mate has just taken a blue sports analogue dash out of a 7/84 build touring wagon. I have never seen one with translucent blue marking. Yranslucent in respect of partially transparent. My 83 parts catalogue showes no less than 6 sports analogue {assembly) numbers for each - all of which are differ...

I just noticed that your "lights on" photo of your dash looked a little greenish in the photo, but in the last photo of it in the daylight, it looked Blue. Can you confirm that the gauge markings are translucent blue with light coming through them ? if so do you know exactly what year / model it cam...

did the changeover to the 90Amp with Silverbullets assistance ( actually he did it with some of my tools :) ) - I used Clay Auto elec on Sth Road, who set up a full newer cable run for me, to my specified length , including 100amp fusible link and protective plastic tube for cable - for less than $6...

yes, but you did get 110amp and not 90amps from the hitachi style maxima alt - so not all bad ;)

UPDATE !!! For some totally unknown reason, the exact tyre that is shown in the above photo of a MY touring wagon - will not fit into the same space in a 1989 Targa Brumby !!!!??? the aircleaner seems to be 10-15mm closer to the firewall and is preventing the tyre from slipping down into the firewal...

BUT it seems that the ENTIRE SUBFORUM is locked as i tried to start a new thread - ????

Great thread, that dash conversion gives me hope. I'm finally going to get my blue targa sorted and then clear out all the parts i have. i know i have two great wide dashes, and i know that one of the analogue instrument panels came to Me "bare" , i'm hoping that the other came with a full sub-loom....
