Hi Tex, not that I can find, still I'm a Luddite when it comes to this stuff. As I mentioned before, all I wanted wanted is a simple radio that would last and as this thing is waterproof , so it should help with dust. Someone told me about an Ipod or such that you tune into a radio frequency in your...

GME fitted. (GR100)

Bit of delay with reply,my apologies. The radio fitted beautifully, just enough room on facia to have the radio and still retain the ash tray ,never and will never be used :), and looks very good. Only had to remove a fraction of plastic to fit and make up a couple of holding straps, the radio unit ...

Winders

A bit of string, wound around with a slip knot will achieve the desired result..(between the knob and the handle).Easy to replace also :).

Was apparently a silly question. After keeping an EA82 on the road on a daily basis for over 800,000 klm, and knowing them so well, the Brumby is a slightly different beast, only slightly. Have found out how to do the gear change fix, just thought I'd throw it out there to you good folk,so as to mak...

Decided rather than do too much surgery to the Brumby, I'm going to try a GME marine type AM/FM sealed radio, dust proof I hope, will fit this weekend and let you know how it goes. I don't want a CD player or such, just the radio. They appear to be compact so here's hoping..

You can replace the tie rod to rack shafts, about $40.00 or so per side, even without removing the r/p from the vehicle, bit of a juggle, though you may and should get a wheel alignment after. Make sure your anti-sway bar bushes are ok, they kick up a fuss, and are cheap.

In my area no one would replace the uni joints on 'L' series, litigation I guess, try Sun Spares Qld. Their good. You may be able to get a replacement uni with an inner C clip and then grind the old one out, usually the front, but I'd go s/h.

Klms..

The 'L' series that I just parted from had 890,975 , one motor replaced, rest normal wear and tear, I change all filters and oil in half suggested time or less, and get on top of any problem quickly, as that's how I make my living, if the Brumby hadn't come up(with 80,000 original Klm) the 'L' would...

Ah, I knew you would know, I'm humbled. After owning a couple of 'L' series ,and I know them ,having bought from new and done high mileage , the Brumby suits my work to a 'T'. Should have bought one long before the 'L' series. I'll put and add;up in the for sale section tomorrow for the 'L' series w...

On lights

The Brumby has 'sealed beam' head lights and was wondering if and when it happens is there a semi sealed beam replacement that slots in?.. I'm learning :).....(means I trust the good people here).

Thanks Alex, am going into town tomorrow to buy a unit so will follow your advise. I do about 900 Klm. week on gravel so that annoys radios and etc; will check out the Brands you mentioned.. Don't want anything fancy, mainly radio and I guess a CD thing would be OK. I'll wack it in and let you know....
