id swap out to an ea82 with mpfi or keep the ea81 and build a mpfi from scrach, not thast hard really.(ive done it before for a datsun motor and cant see a problem with an ea81) suck throughs better as the carbi is standard, with blow through you need to make the carbi, floatbowl, gauge. bloddy hard...

ok from a rally forum i posed the4 same question My feeling is that it would be in there for Subaru to cover themselves. The DCCD in lock mode or near lock mode works for a rally car, when one or more wheels are momentarily off the ground but not necessarily for off-roading where you pick one wheel ...

yeah ill be organising an ej soon. got my spare 82 motor sitting at home so gonna rip it apart and see whats so bad lol.
might even set it up to be mated to the 2wd auto box and putting in the formula v as a race car and then upgrading to a ej with that too soon.

you mentioned a water injection into the inlet manifold??
the last thing you want in there is water obviously. for a subaru i would suggest a water to air intercooler to make the air cooler and more dense thus more air per bang.

from my tests, (removing it and trying) it just forces the vapour back into a liquid form to be made vapour in the carby. i think it ,makes the fuel a little faster flowing, basicly takes up space and makes sure that all the fumes are burnt and not released to atmosphere. just for enviromentally con...

honestly WTF. efi carbi?? its single point injection, just go a efi from ea82 i think
supercharger-turbo?? yes its done really expensive and very little room to move under bonnet.
put it this way lots of money, lots of engineering.

not so much aftermarket stuff unless you modified it to fit from another model or even from make ie patrol roof rack

yeah seen a lot of the other post but they seem to be just one single part ie electric fans or head work not the whole engine
