hand winch comes in handy, probably a lot handier than a mounted electruc one

I'd like to see the bracing under the body for that power, yes the cage will help but surely there's got to be more than that to it!

Gannon, don't take people's comments personally - they're not out to attack you, even if it seems like they are. Some of the best idea came from something crazy! sorry gannon wasnt aiming anything at you just throwing my ball into the room the idea would work, but the revs and duration would be the...

if your going for the hard mount, and your going to bar the car up. use the bars as air resivour, you can then add air up points front rear and each side.

any more questions you get post up or inbox me and ill try and help, thats what were here for

thinking about all this traction is fine, but i do not accept the old saying who needs articulation if you've got lockers we can lock the front and rear but until we start going mad with lift and flex. While offroading (rock hopping) isnt really my scene i know that this system doesnt do it all. i t...

I agree with you about the screw in tow hook. Would make a nice little snatch strap projectile! The manual says to use it for pulling your vehicle out of sand, mud and snow. Maybe okay for short distance "towing" but surely not snatch recovery. Will investigate where recovery points can be mounted ...

You could inflate/deflate and check temperatures of all 4 tyres from the cab.

the onyl use ive found with these sort of things is that its not using a stick (that usually breaks inside the valve stem) and gauge etc

id say keep the 40s on all the time

meanwhile, what we really need is an auto tire de/re flating system to be used while the vehicle is moving =D

Hey guys, I have been reading around on various forums in regard to recovery points on the 2011 forester. Seems most people are just using the tie down points with a equaliser strap for snatch strap recovery. The points are only welded on and don't look overly strong. theyre not and using it for sn...
