Surely you'll still need to alter the MAP sensor signal to the ECU and install a rising rate fuel pressure regulator to stop the system from leaning out.

Want WTB: EJ20 turbo motor to suit an early RS liberty.

Hey guys, looking for a spare motor that would suit and RS Liberty. So an EJ20g, EJ20k and others.

Running prefered, but happy to look at motors that need work so long as it's nothing major. Let me know what you've got.
PM here and we can talk money.

Hey mate, do you think this would be an easy swap into a 2001 EJ20SOHC forester, providing I swap over the intake manifolds to keep the MAP sensor? Do you know if the other sensors are different between the 1997 EJ20 and the type I'd have in my car?

No worries mate. Going to have a look over my car in the next day or so, figure out exactly what will work best for me and then let you know if I'm keen.
Need to figure out if it will be a straight forward swap.

Hey mate, how long ago did you do all the work on the engine?
I have a 2001 Forester and smashed the sump in yesterday big time and considering just dropping a new motor in it as I have many KMs on the current, smashed donk.

This car may be a fiscally wise purchase for me :p

HD swaybars and endlinks front and back, whiteline steering rack bushes for real tight steering and feedback, front strut brace and she'll be halfway fun to drive :p

Turbo swap.
No point trying to add 'performance' to a pig of an engine.

Preview video of my trip to Bremer Bay and Quobba

Hi guys, in October a few of us set out on a really great adventure, checking out the surf and fishing in Bremer Bay and then all the way up to the Quobba Coast. We had a great time and I filmed it all. I'm in the process of cutting together a proper video diary of our trip but couldn't resist makin...

WTB: Starter motor 2001 Forester Manual

Hey guys, my starter motor is seriously on it's way out and I need a replacement.
Can get them on ebay for around $200 delivered but thought I'd try here first.

It's a 2001 Manual Forester N/A.

If anyone's got one that will fit, let me know. Cheers

Spewing, I'm up that way in Oct for 2 weeks. Be sure to check out Red Bluff and Gnarraloo on the Quobba Coast. Epic scenery, unbeatable fishing and world class surfing. It's not too much of a detour and it always certainly the highlight of all my northern trips. Just note, the coast road around Quob...
