The early kombis had reduction boxes at the rear wheel end of the axle shafts, how ever the are a swing axle design and only have a pivot in the inner diff end of the shafts. Leads to crazy camber changes and pretty evil handling all round. Also the 5 inches of extra height would kill the look. The ...

It's a very cool product. There is just not much info on clutch interchanges. Some have said use the flywheel and clutch to suit the gearbox others have said they can use either. Was just hoping someone had done a newer box into an older engine on here.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. Actually it's a vw beetle that is already running an ej22 engine with an adaptor plate onto the beetles gearbox. I am putting the liberty box into it using a subarugears reverse rotation kit. Lots of fun all round :-). Just trying to make sure i buy the right bits. Mike.

Gen 1 ej22 into gen 3 manual gear box clutch help.

Hi, I have looked through the transmission forum and this one for info regarding the fitment of a 91 ej22 into a 99 liberty ty754 5 speed box. I'm just trying to find out what combination of clutch, flywheel and starter motor will work together in this combo. It's a push style shift fork with the sl...

Sell L series wagon for sale.

Hi, I am selling my wagon in order to upgrade to a bigger 4wd. Its a 92 model dual range wagon, 5 speed manual and carby ea82 engine. It has been lifted 100mm in the body and has picked up some extra with the pedders springs all round. It has power steering, power mirrors, cd stereo, snorkle, 14 inc...

The CIG locker hopeless on road, i just pop off the rhr driveshaft for road use, it only takes a minute to put it back on but with it removed its just as nice to drive on the road as with out being locked. It will also go a long way off road in 3wd too, lol but its worth the hassel of jacking up a r...

Sorry FujiFan, I didn't mean to come across as narky...lol. I appreciate all comments, its the best way of getting new ideas. I am tossing up about putting a pre cleaner on top of this as some forrestry trails can be real dusty and they sure do help getting rid of the bulk of the crap in the air. Th...

No arguments from me i had thought about that also. It would be fun to put a manometer ino the intake and check some pressures (negative or otherwise). I'm pretty sure that the suction generated by the engine would far out way the effect of air flow past the pipe, I have slash cut the end of the pip...

There has been quite a bit or research done on ram air intakes, lets get one thing out first, yes they do work but only at high speed and with correctly profiled intake point and ducting. Most snorkles vary in diameter and have several points that introduce turbulance to the airflow in the air flow,...

Hey thanks for the replies, It looks to have been caused by the transmission selector pin still being grounded (the computer was looking for signals from the auto). Once the wire was cut the light dissapeared, will keep an eye on it let you know for sure if that was the fault.
