Here are some pictures of the interior. I have incorporated a set of retractable rear seat belts. I did the spray painting in my garage. Engineering should be easy. Been talking to the engineer during the build. Had a couple of cars engineered by him. At the moment the door trims and dash recover, s...

Finally managed to get the rear windscreen rubber. For any other people that may need the same, Phil's rotary came through with the goods.

Thanks to all that help with the search.

Just started to assemble the car readying to put the final 2 coats of paint on. The car should be painted by the weekend. Then the assembly really begins. The picture doesn't do the paint job justice.

Still a long way to go.

Thanks for that. I have just had a look at a picture of a sedans back window and they are a different shape. Alot sharper 90" bend in the bottom corners. Looks like I am back to square one.

If there is someone with MY sedan 80-83 that could measure there back window height at the ends and centre and the width. Still having trouble with sourcing this part. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The other option that I have heard is a gemini coupe back window is the same size and profile...

Thanks for that bill. He wasn't able to help. Must have given me his suppliers name who also could not help with the part. I have heard that a gemini coupe window rubber is similar shape. Might have to pay a visit to a wrecker to see.

Suparoo,

If you wouldn't mind measuring your rear window that would be great. I would say that the width would be the same!

Rabbitoh,

Do you have the contact or email address of where you got the seal in the states.

Thanks for that. Tried both places with no luck. Phil's rotary seem to be getting into it but don't have one to suit unless the sedan is the same size which I doubt.

Rear window rubber 83 Coupe

At the moment I am chasing a rear window rubber for a 1983 coupe (hardtop). I have exhausted all avenues to source one. Subaru Australia say that Subaru Japan are not making them anymore. Surely they must have one laying around over there. All the rubber places like scott's and spectrum do not make ...

I am aiming to have it registered and on the road by next christmas. Any earlier and it will be a bonus. As far as the dash goes it has been a huge task to fit. All the climate control gear was fitted modifying the firewall to fit. Then I had to make up some of the ducting to suit. I started this 12...

I have completed alot in the last 2 weeks. The engine and gearbox is in, the wiring is 98% complete on the car, the engine bay is 95% complete and i have started the car and had it running. It is a tad noisy with just dump pipe and cat finishing at the back of the gearbox. The climate control and da...
