Hi Dan, I went through this process on my 97 Foz about 18 months ago. If you want to see the end results let me know. I'm either in Scarbs or Bicton. I went for the Australian option - ********* Performance. Jeff is fantastic and provided lots of help. The raised HD springs will not fit in the rear ...

280,000 on on Betty - my 97 Foz. No oil or water usage. Original clutch as far as I can tell.

I keep toying with a new car - but if Betty wont die I cant bring myself to replace her.

I got a full 2 inch lift though mine. Body blocks and Strut lift. Taller HD springs and ATR tyres.

Slower than stock - seems to get about 10l-100km fuel.

Goes good.

I have Pedders springs, and a full crossbreed lift. I would recommend what I have.

Update:
Hit the magic 450k to the tank. New O2 sensor seems to be helping. Time to take it for a Highway run to see if it is back to its old self.

I would look for a 70hp - 90hp.

These get used alot on work boats at Marina's so they turn up second hand quite a bit.

Update;

Took an hour but the O2 sensor is now new. It has never been replaced, looks well knackered. Finally gave in and got some triflo on the thread and out she came.

I'll be calling you in a week Paul, good to catch up and get the car sorted.

Update; Roof basket gone and Upper engine clean has been done. Don't have the correct stuff to do the O2 sensor. Currently getting about 410-430 per 45L tank, which is up 40-50k's Stoked. Engine is feeling smoother so I am happy. Haven't been on any long trips as work has stolen all my previous week...
