1.44 low range with 4.11 or 1.59 with 3.9

As the title suggests: Would a 1.44 low range with 4.11 ratios (ie forester) be equivalent to 1.59 low range with 3.9 ratios (ie liberty with L series low range). I'm thinking there wouldn't be much difference? Do the lower 4.11 ratios make up for the higher 1.44 low range? I am leaning towards the ...

fastcam bolts

gday, have a gen 1 lib and just got outback struts and raised king springs (500ks old and only $400!). I've read on some american sites that they needed fastcam bolts on the rear to maintain correct camber - because of the raised springs. I've also read (cant remember where) that these bolts aren't ...

Thanks Alpine Raven.. So the KSFR-26 will fit the liberty strut even thought it's a 2nd gen outback spring.. - And this is because the liberty, outback and some impreza's all share the same spring up to 2nd gen outback. if its a raised option for the outback will it be too high for the liberty? Than...

Thanks alpine raven.

Just checked the part number on King springs and they say KSFR-26 is from a 2nd gen outback (raised spring).

But are you saying that this spring will fit the liberty gen1 (93) struts?

Just need to absolutely confirm this before i buy the springs.

Thanks again

Forester or outback springs in liberty struts?

gday gday,

Does this work in a gen 1 liberty? Can i use standard liberty struts and put either forester or outback springs in them?

Also - if this cant work, does anyone sell strut tops only for the liberty?

Thanks!

ahhhhh.... making more sense to me now so you have to have the body lift in conjunction with the strut top lift.. ok thats fair - well hopefully will happen in the next few weeks and it seems the usual practice is to post some pics of it so looks like i will have to dig up the camera when it gets do...

just a quick other thing - half the reason for asking these (mildly retarded) questions is because i cant find a lift kit on this site or anywhere else that just does the strut top lift for my car - have seen them for foresters but not much else..

thanks for the feedback guys. i know about the body lift kit, and the suspensions lifts options but have struggled to find out if you can do strut top only for gen1 liberty. the reason for this is that i want everything to get more clearance - not just the body.. so i guess my main questions (and th...

93 liberty strut top lift

gday everyone, this is my first thread.. i have just bought a 93 gx liberty wagon and - just like everyone else - want it lifted. the thing is it only just had (15,000kms ago) the original air shocks replaced with conventional suspension - and it handles great. anyhow, is it possible to just install...
