G'day Wombat, road tyres and a bad attitude will get you a long way, you just need to use a little more vehicle speed at the start!

Update for the interested.

Slottled the strut towers,
nolathane is in,

Springs are going in tomorrow.
On schedule.

Cheers all,
Matt

Backfire/overboost valve

Howdy all, to protect the supercharger rotors and airbox in my new intake system I am going to need a huge dump valve or flap. When and if it backfires the overpressurised gas needs to be vented. Any ideas on where i would get something like that?? anyone got an old diesel turbo with a big wastegate...

Calamari Season opens YAY

One of the great gifts of the ocean in my opinion. 30 -40cm Calamari, season opens on the 16th of December, we are hitting them on Saturday night. Coles Bay in the Freycinet National Park is the hot spot. The Bay has been Chock o block full of dolphins all week, feasting obviously. We have a 8m x 5m...

Eastern shore radiators in Risdon Vale,
His name is Scott I think.
$40 to get modified to bigger nipples.

He knows what to do now, it took him a few hours to set mine up.
Mine flows great ,never really moves the temp needle unless I sit idling for ages. The thermos rarely kick in.

Re: Load vs Handling = The Sack

the etxra weight makes no difference to the power or performance. Any opinions or suggestions? The 1st part is technically incorrect... the additional weight WILL change the power/performance… basic physics says that it HAS to!!! Ok fair enough Jaffa, But basic seat of my pants performance rating t...

G'day ToyRX, I am going to do some experimenting with the load, it's made of my old diving weight vest and is well strapped down (With seat belt webbing). The shotgun shot moulds to the ridges in the tray and doesn't rattle or bounce. I will be mounting it up under the rear bar at some stage. I figu...

Stinky, if you are looking down the length of one, is one bush housing set back from the other, ie offset? I don't think so...

They should be straight right?

they bend by hand in a vice, probably made of old milo tins!

The twin carb motors scream, about the same torque levels as a normal one, but don't they fly up the revs quick!!
Have fun with the twins.

Load vs Handling = The Sack

I delivered a 40kg bag of cement the other day to a mate, and noticed how much better the Wonder Brumby handled with just that amount of weight BEHIND the rear wheels.  Now, I am not short of torque- (she tows 700kgs and the temp needle never moves) so the etxra weight makes no differen...

Moustache bar bending

Who has bent moustache bars before?
I have two that both have a bit of a bend, is this normal?
Are they slightly offset from the factory?
Who has re-inforced theirs?

Its going to have to be way stronger than it is now when 6psi of boost hits it in a month or so..

Tim- is yours hanging in there?

Wagon Schmagon. Put it in a Brumby! Yeah it was a good score for everyone involved, I already had rear discs and so did Ian so I probably should have held onto them, but hey someone needed them. It arrived in Swansea with a cracked head, I scored her for $450, pulled the loom, sold it, pulled the EA82T out and have used the pistons and turbo on my jet boat motor, CD player, spotties and various bits went on to the Wonder Brumby. Howdy Fatz, hows the monster L going, did you know she used to be mine? I have her CD player still in the WB, her lower control arms and CV shafts as well. Aaahh the memories.
