Thanks Mark and Jules, but these diagrams appear to be from a gen 1 ser 2 ecu, which seems to be a four plug ecu. My engine, wiring and ecu are from a 1990 gen 1 ser 1 liberty and it has a three plug ecu. Thanks heaps for your efforts and if you come across any from a 1990 liberty please let me know...

The gearbox will bolt straight up.
as spike said you will need the wiring loom and either put the whole loom in or splice it,
and i'm fairly sure that you need to do something to the fuel lines.

If you went ahead with this project i would definately change the gearbox.
i have an n/a 2wd liberty and i get heaps of slipping of the tyres, would hate to think what it would be like with a more powerful engine.:rolleyes:
