For sale is my 1991 imported Legacy turbo wagon. Car runs well. Sound to me like they might have hung the gearbox before tightening the bolts. I did this once and bent the clutch and had all manner of problems until I replaced the clutch. The shudder was the main issue but also notices issues with not wanting to go into gear.
